About the Journal
Aims and Scope. Journal of Computer Graphics and Rendering Systems provides a focused venue for research on real-time rendering, physically based rendering, illumination, GPU graphics pipelines, rendering quality and performance. The journal prioritizes technically substantive, internationally relevant work in which the principal novelty lies inside the stated computing scope rather than only in the application domain.
Core topics in scope include:
- real-time rendering
- physically based rendering
- illumination
- GPU graphics pipelines
- rendering quality and performance
- computer graphics
- rendering
- shading
- visual simulation
Evidence and methodological expectations. Graphics work should use accepted visual-quality, geometric, rendering, or performance benchmarks. Human-centered studies should state research questions, participant characteristics, tasks, instruments, statistical or qualitative analysis procedures, accessibility considerations, and ethics approval or consent where applicable.
Normally outside scope. Interface mock-ups without evaluation, small convenience surveys with unsupported generalization, purely aesthetic design reports, and graphics demonstrations lacking technical or perceptual validation are normally outside scope.
Research integrity and reproducibility. Authors should disclose datasets, software, model or system configurations, experimental protocols, statistical procedures, ethical approvals where applicable, competing interests, funding, and any material use of generative AI. Data and code should be shared when legally and ethically possible, or the restriction must be explained.
